Tutti Fruity Cocktail Recipe: A Tropical Summer Drink Bursting with Flavor

  • Author: Ethan

Description

This Tutti Fruity Cocktail recipe is a vibrant, tropical drink bursting with citrus and sweet fruit flavors. With orange juice, pineapple juice, rum, and colorful liqueurs, it’s perfect for summer parties, beach vibes, or whenever you need a little sunshine in a glass! Layered with grenadine and topped with a cherry and umbrella — it’s as fun to look at as it is to sip. Make this show-stopping cocktail and bring the vacation to you!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 oz orange juice (fresh-squeezed if possible)

  • 1 oz pineapple juice

  • 1 oz white rum

  • ½ oz peach schnapps

  • ½ oz banana liqueur

  • ½ oz grenadine

  • Ice (for shaking and serving)

Garnish:

  • 1 maraschino cherry

  • 1 orange slice

  • 1 mini cocktail umbrella (optional but fabulous!)

Instructions

  • Fill a hurricane or highball glass with ice to chill while you prepare the drink.

  • In a cocktail shaker, add more ice, then pour in the orange juice, pineapple juice, white rum, peach schnapps, and banana liqueur.

  • Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well combined and chilled.

  • Discard the ice from your serving glass (or leave it, your choice), and strain the mixture into the glass.

  • Slowly pour the grenadine down the side of the glass so it sinks to the bottom, creating a beautiful layered look.

  • Garnish with a maraschino cherry, an orange slice, and a mini umbrella for that festive finishing touch. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

Want it extra tropical? Swap the banana liqueur for coconut rum, or add a splash of mango juice!
For a mocktail version, leave out the alcohol and double up on the juices — then top with soda water for a fruity fizz.
You can batch the base (without grenadine or garnish) ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Shake individual servings with ice and layer in grenadine just before serving for best results.
This cocktail is naturally gluten-free and easy to adapt to suit your taste or what you have on hand!
