Bubble-Yum Comfort Cocktail

Bubble-Yum Comfort Cocktail – Southern Comfort Meets Banana Cream and Bubblegum

  • Author: Sam

Description

This Bubble-Yum Comfort Cocktail is a creamy, fruity throwback to your favorite childhood candy—only with a boozy twist. Southern Comfort, Crème de Banana, and a splash of grenadine are shaken with cream and served over crushed ice in a candy-sugar-rimmed glass. It’s playful, sweet, and totally party-perfect! Whether you’re celebrating or just need a little nostalgic pick-me-up, this cocktail brings the fun in every sip.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cocktail (Serves 2):

  • 2 oz Southern Comfort

  • 1 oz Crème de Banana (banana liqueur)

  • 1 oz cream or milk (or half & half for extra richness)

  • ½ oz grenadine

  • Crushed ice

For Garnish:

  • Bubblegum balls or cotton candy (for garnish)

  • Striped paper straws (optional, but so cute!)

For the Rim:

  • 1 tbsp simple syrup (for sticking)

  • 1 tbsp pink sugar

  • 1 tbsp yellow sugar

Instructions

  • Prepare the Glass Rim:
Dip the rim of each cocktail glass into simple syrup, then press into a mix of pink and yellow sugar. Set aside.

  • Add Ice:
Fill each rimmed glass with crushed ice.

  • Shake the Cocktail:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine Southern Comfort, Crème de Banana, cream (or milk), and grenadine. Shake well until chilled and frothy (about 15–20 seconds).

  • Pour and Garnish:
Strain the cocktail over the crushed ice in each glass. Garnish with bubblegum balls or a puff of cotton candy on a cocktail pick. Add a striped straw for extra fun!

Notes

  • Want a lighter version? Use milk instead of cream.

  • For an even more festive touch, add a pinch of edible glitter to the shaker.

  • Making it kid-friendly or alcohol-free? Swap in banana syrup, grenadine, milk, and a splash of vanilla.

  • This drink is best enjoyed fresh, but you can mix the liquid ingredients ahead and shake to serve later.

  • Pro tip: Chill your glasses ahead of time for an extra-refreshing experience!
