Amaretto Island Punch

Amaretto Island Punch – A Tropical Sunset Cocktail That Steals the Show

  • Author: Sam

Description

Amaretto Island Punch is your go-to tropical sunset cocktail—smooth, coconut-kissed, and layered with vibrant fruit flavors and a glowing grenadine finish. It’s a showstopper in any glass and comes together in minutes. Whether you’re hosting a beachy backyard bash or just need to bring the summer vibes home, this cocktail is pure sunshine. Quick to mix, gorgeous to serve, and easy to love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz amaretto liqueur

  • 2 oz coconut rum (like Malibu)

  • 4 oz pineapple juice

  • 2 oz orange juice

  • 1 oz grenadine

  • Ice (for serving)

  • Garnish: Orange slices and maraschino cherries

Instructions

  • Fill two tall glasses about ¾ full with ice. Hurricane glasses work beautifully for that island vibe!

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the amaretto, coconut rum, pineapple juice, and orange juice.

  • Shake well for 10–15 seconds until everything’s well mixed and chilled.

  • Pour the mixture evenly into the glasses over the ice.

  • Slowly drizzle grenadine into each glass—it’ll sink and create that gorgeous layered “sunset” effect.

  • Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry on top.

  • Serve immediately and soak in those tropical feels!

Notes

  • Make it a party: This recipe scales up perfectly! Mix a batch (minus the grenadine) in a pitcher, then pour and drizzle grenadine into each glass before serving.

  • Mocktail version: Skip the alcohol and use a blend of pineapple juice, orange juice, coconut water, and a splash of almond extract.

  • Want it stronger? Add a float of dark rum on top for a bolder punch and extra depth.

  • Presentation tip: Chill your glasses beforehand for an extra refreshing experience—and to help that sunset gradient really pop!

  • Storage: Mix the base in advance (without grenadine) and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Shake well before serving and add garnishes last.
